ALPINE SOUTH - NZ MTB TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 – Airport meet & greet. We’ll whisk you away to unique paradise – a short MTB ride to acclimatise and a little surprise to welcome you to New Zealand.   Ride 2-3 hours / 15-20km

Day 2 & 3 - Possibly New Zealand’s newest iconic mountain bike ride – follow singletrack threading through ancient rainforest, across remote mountain tops & include an overnight experience if you’re feeling adventurous.  Day 3;Ride 4 hours / 30km, Day 4:Ride 5-6 hours / 55km

Day 4 & 5 – Moving South the mountains get bigger, the descents longer and the smiles bigger. Traversing through ski fields and riding singletrack set in stunning scenery, no wonder it’s been touted as New Zealand’s best mountain bike ride.  Day 5;Ride 2 hours / 15-20km, Day 6:Ride 4-6 hours / 25-45km

Day 6 - From the mountains to the sea, we'll trade in epic ski field views for stunning coastal vistas. A mix of great singletrack, big views, and flowing descents and for those keen a few shuttled runs. An epic way to finish the northern loop of the tour. Ride 4 hours / 25km

Day 7 – A new addition, and with scenery that’ll make you feel like you’ve fallen into an Instagram filter, it’ll be a challenge to keep your eyes on the trail.  Ride 3-4 hours / 25km

Day 8 – Two totally different rides make a very unique day. A natural trail ride by picturesque aqua blue lakes, and a flow trail in Otago’s desert.  Ride 3-4 hours / 32km

Day 9 – Heli biking! A guides favourite, we’ll take a helicopter ride to a deserted plateau, soak up the moonlike scenery and fill up Instagram feeds before following the flowing mountain top trail all the way to a quaint local pub for refreshment.  Ride 4 hours / 25km

Day 10 – Another MTB mecca and smorgasboard of trails. Flow trails, technical backcountry riding & endless ribbons of singletrack. There's been little gold found here since the late 1800's rush, but we'll show you the endless supply of golden trails.   Ride 3-6 hours / 20-60km

Day 11 – Shuttles galore – an optional bikepark morning followed by enduro shuttles on one of the Southern Hemisphere’s best known trails. Just try and hide your smile.  Ride 4-6 hours / 25-35km

Day 12 – For those early birds, we'll have a sunrise ride before we pack up, share contact details and wave a teary goodbye at the airport.  Ride 1-2 hours / 10km
